Club Anniversaries 1988, 1998 & 2013 – Port City Bowling Club
Port Macquarie City Bowling Club was founded in 1938. The 50th, 60th & 75th Anniversaries (1988, 1998 and 2013 respectively) saw the production and distribution of magazines celebrating the successes, the triumphs, the highs and the lows throughout each of those stages.
For those of you who may never have received or maybe have misplaced those magazines an electronic version is available for download below.
Rex Holihan, our Club’s resident Historian, made his pristine copies available (although he did underline a few passages in the 1988 edition), to be digitally scanned and reproduced for your consideration.
There are 2 formats.
The MOBI version is suitable for all eBook reader apps be they on an iPad, Kindle or any of the Android tablets. However, you will need a copy of the free Kindle app (or similar) tailored to your device.
The second format is PDF. The PDF version is suited to reading on any computer/laptop using the free Acrobat Reader app.
There is a downside. The files are quite large. Some members with small download limits and computers Noah would have deemed too old for the Ark might find the whole process a bit too much.
